Energy efficient, greener shops could potentially bring in increased profits

Making stores more energy efficient and greener could potentially improve customer experience and drive sales, recent research lead by the UK Green Building Council has been able to find.

The report, “Health, Wellbeing and Productivity in Retail: The Impact of Green Buildings on People and Profit”, argues that there is a surge in interest in health and wellbeing in the property sector that could have a potentially positive effect on the shops’ sales figures, as customers will be more likely to visit and shop at stores with excellent credentials.

John Alker, Policy & Campaign Director, UK Green Building Council, said: “This should be a wake up call for retailers and those with a stake in retail property. They are sitting on a potential gold-mine of data, which can help cement the business case for investing in healthy, greener stores – both new build, and refurbishment. Leaders in the sector realise this, we now need to see action across the board.”

Every modern building that require the implementation of some very comprehensive and effective energy management systems, should also seriously consider putting in specific zoning measures, and that’s exactly where the HeatSave programmable wireless thermostatic valves can really come in handy.

The HeatSave wireless thermostatic valves represent a very good solution for the healthcare industry, where energy costs are 2nd only to labour costs. That’s because the TRVs can help customers slash their energy bills by up to an impressive 30 percent by allowing them to thoroughly control the heating patterns for every single one of their radiators.
