Peterborough residents invited to join energy efficiency scheme

Residents across Peterborough are invited to join an energy efficiency scheme that could potentially land them a grant of up to £6,000 for implementing specific measures, a recent news report in the local media has been able to reveal.

The “Heataborough” scheme will help homeowners make improvements to be more energy efficient such as solid wall insulation. However, residents who are genuinely interested should hurry to apply, as the grants will only be available on a first come first served basis until the end of September.

Councillor Gavin Elsey, Cabinet Member for Digital, Waste and Street Scene said: “We are committed to reducing household energy bills in the long term and supporting residents and landlords by providing real financial support.

“We urge residents to check the Heataborough website now and see if they are eligible to apply for the scheme as the winter approaches.”

Home owners looking for a surefire, simple and easy to deploy solution designed to help them cut energy bills should look no further than the HeatSave thermostatic radiator valves.

The HeatSave thermostatic radiator valves are the easiest to install and most cost-effective energy-saving measures on the market. They are particularly suitable for retrofitting, since one simply has to remove the existing TRV and replace it with the HeatSave unit.

The wireless thermostatic radiator valves enable users to set specific functioning times for each valve, and, since radiators are individually controlled, home owners are fully capable to maximise the zoning potential and reduce energy consumption in those areas that are not used for longer periods of time (as for example, dining or sitting rooms and kitchens during the night, etc.).

Additionally, the HeatSave wireless thermostatic radiator valves also provide an automatic exercising feature when unused for 7 days, whose purpose is to minimise seizing of radiator valves in warmer months.

All in all, the HeatSave TRVs enable users to achieve some pretty impressive savings, as they will help reduce your heating bills by up to 30%, especially when coupled with the HeatingSave Building Energy Management System.
