The Color-Changing Radiator turns red as it heats up

Despite playing a very important part in any household, radiators are not exactly the most exciting products, at least not in terms of design.

However, Icelandic designer Thorunn Arnadottir decided to do something about it and created a radiator that closely resembles human capillaries, unique in shape and color scheme, called Blush.

The radiator is painted with thermo-chromatic paint that turns red from top to bottom when it is heating up. When no heat is passing through, the radiator rests in a cool shade of blue.

Inventive in both practicality and design, Blush is a functional art installation that adds both color and safety to the home.

While this radiator concept is indeed quite an interesting and attractive one, optimizing its functionality is also something that should be seriously considered, and this is specifically where the HeatSave wireless programmable TRVs come into play.

The HeatSave wireless programmable thermostatic radiator valves allow users to attain even higher savings in terms of energy and bills, of up to an impressive 30 percent. They are extremely easy to set-up and install, since one will only have to unscrew the existing TRV by hand and replace with the HeatSave wireless radiator valve.
